In the three years since he has moved to Asheville, Willie has been
quite active in the community's burgeoning theatre scene (as well as
playing with his band, Mock
Turtle Soup). He has acted on six local stages and two local street
corners, not to mention moving trains, moving pictures, and numerous
school gymnasiums and cafeterias. In 2004 he co-founded not only immediate
theatre project, but also The
Redundant Theatre Company Theatre, and could not be happier. Thanks
to Lauren for opening doors, and to Sarai for helping me through them.
And tremendous thanks, again, to Charlie and Angie Flynn-McIver and
North Carolina Stage
Company for raising the bar and helping us all rise to it.
