Immediate Theatre Project and North Carolina Stage Company began our collaboration with an adaptation of It’s A Wonderful Life in 2006 for a short local run, and began a limited tour the following year. Inspired by the terrific response from audiences and critics, we have recently completed a brand new adaptation of Frank Capra’s screenplay that restores much of the beloved dialogue from the original movie and heightens the drama of the hard-working radio actors of the fictional WVL Radio Theatre. Now more than ever before, we are pleased to present this classic story: a story of struggle in times of crisis, and of the power of a community to weather financial storms.
